Bio

Lenora is buried next to her husband James A Cate. The marker was never engraved with information about her life and death. When the marker was installed after James death in 1913 it was engraved on the wrong side, it was never corrected. Lenora is the youngest daughter of James and Ellender Knight Iles, born in Sale Creek Hamilton County, Tennessee. James and Lenora married Sept 18, 1870 in Rhea Co. Tenn then migrated to Texas in 1875 to Lonesome Dove Tx then on to Garza-Little Elm Tx in 1896 they raised 8 son's to adulthood. James, John, Jesse, Dorris, Dealous, Carlous, Ira and Homer Cate. One daughter Samantha Cate died at early school age.
