The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Friday, June 5, 1981: William L. Bedner, 2615 N. Virginia, a retired painter. Survived by brothers, C. J., Ed and Tony Bedner, and Ben Bednar; sister, Mrs Cecilia Piwetz; half-sisters, Mrs Barbara Mosely, Mrs Mary Toups, Annie Pomykai, Della Caveness; stepmother, Johanna Bednar. Wake services 7 pm Friday in Smith & Kernke Funeral Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am Saturday, St Francis Catholic Church. Burial Rose Hill Cemetery. -------------------- Bill changed the spelling of his name to Bedner when he moved from Texas, first to Kansas, then Oklahoma. That is why his parent's name is spelled differently, Bednar. (Submitted by Terri Wegner #49125557) Parents: Cyril Bednar & Frantiska "Frances" Mare. The family lived in Austin Co, Texas in 1900 and 1910 census.
