Nordeen Clinton Williamson, age 88, formerly of Austin, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Lakewood Healthcare System in Staples, Minnesota. Nordeen was born March 7, 1923 on a farm near Corning, Minnesota to William and Ada (Guttormson) Williamson. On January 13, 1945 he was united in marriage to Shirley Jorgenson. Nordeen lived in Austin most of his life. He worked for Hormel for 40 years. On April 1, 2006 he moved to Staples, Minnesota to be near his daughter and her family. Our family has many good memories of our father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Nordeen made many friends at the Lakewood Pines Assisted Living and Riverside Assisted Living. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting. Nordeen will be sadly and greatly missed by all. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (John) Schmitt, Staples, MN; grandson, Jason (Denise) Schmitt, Madison, WI; granddaughters, Marnie (Tony) Loftus, Big Lake, MN, Sheila (Ben) Busker, Staples, MN; great grandchildren, Jalen & Reid Busker, Isabella & Syndie Loftus, Austin Schmitt; brothers, Loren (Georgette) Williamson, Cottage Grove, MN, James (Sonja) Williamson, Austin, MN; sister, Inez Spitzack, Owatonna, MN; brothers-in-law, Nels (Bonnie) Jorgenson, Austin, MN, Richard (Mary) Jorgenson, Tucson, AZ, James (Mary) Jorgenson, Austin, MN; sisters-in-law, Marie Graves, Dexter, MN, Susan Jorgenson, Bloomington, MN. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley on February 8, 2000; daughter, Joanne; brothers, Roger, John, Gerald, Osmer, William; sisters, Lena, Emma, Cora, Ardell; sister-in-law, Betty Engelman. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Gregory Parrott officiating.
