Barmore Funeral Is Held At Glen Cove WINTERS, March 30.- Funeral services Mahaley Louisa Barmore, 77, who died Wednesday at the home of a son, Nolan B. Barmore, who lives near here, were held at the graveside in Glen Cove Cemetery today. Elder T. C. Mahurin of Wingate and the Rev. J. H. Halford. Crews Baptist pastor, officiated. Grandsons were pallbearers. Mrs. Barmore was born in Arkansas Feb. 4, 1862. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Dowdy. She came to Texas with her family when a child. settling first Houston County and later living in Erath and Ford Counties. She married T. M. Barmore Oct. 12. 1879. He died in 1938. Mrs. Barmore was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Besides the one son. Nolan, she is survived by five daughters. Mrs. R. L. Jameson of Matador, Mrs. T. S. Parker of Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. A. G. May of Glen Cove. Mrs. John May of Coleman and Mrs. L. C. Puller of Crews; one sister, Mrs. Phoebe Thomason of Austin: two brothers. John Dowdy of Oklahoma and N. L. Dowdy of Clairette: 33 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Published in the San Angelo Morning Times on Friday, March 31, 1939.
