Bio

MOUNT PLEASANT -Mrs. Eldora Holcomb, 82, of Mount Pleasant, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday in Galveston County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Smith Bates Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Holcomb resided for one year with her son, Dr. Clyde T. Holcomb Jr., of Hitchcock. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Garden Club, all of Mount Pleasant. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Clyde T. Holcomb Jr. of Hitchcock, John C. Shelburne of Texas City and 0. B. Shelburne of Waco; a daughter, Mrs. Eddie Castano of Galveston; a sister, Mrs. Emma Wyrick of Dallas; a brother, Lidge Holliman of Bryan.
