The Oklahoman, Thursday, September 1, 1938: Services for Mrs Eliza V. Slater, 940 N. Kate Avenue, will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs Slater died at her home early Wednesday from a stomach ailment. She had been ill for six months. A resident of Oklahoma City for nine years, Mrs Slater came here from Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, W. L. Slater, mechanic; two daughters, Mrs Virginia Allison and Mrs Gertrude Kelley, both of the city; and a son, J. C.
