Obit Summary: John Charles Hawker, age 85, died Sunday, October 11, 1970, at an Idaho Falls hospital following a long illness. John was born April 29, 1885, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of James Hawker and Louisa Webb Hawker. He married Daisy Ewer Palmer on September 26, 1906, in Salt Lake City, Utah; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Daisy preceded him in death on April 14, 1953. He later married Ann Johnson Wolfe on December 21, 1953, in Rupert, Idaho. She preceded him in death on May 18, 1964. John was a rancher by occupation and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, October 15, 1970, under the direction of Naker Mortuary, Shelley, Idaho. Burial followed in the Rupert Cemetery, Rupert, Idaho.
