3 years after the death of his first wife, Marthan (Bowles) Mills, 38 year old Henderson Mills wed 18 year old Icie Elizabeth Smith, on Nov 25, 1897, in Glen Allen, Fayette Co., AL. She was the daughter of Alva Josephus and Sarah Elizabeth (Bishop) Smith. Besides his 5 children, ages infant to 13, they would add 7 more of their own. Children of Henderson and Icie: Mary Ethel b.
