DEATH NOTICE: The Paris News 12 Jan 2003: Mildrea Lea Ausmus, 66, of Paris, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 at Dubuis Hospital of Paris. Graveside rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Butler officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. She was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Paris to Leroy and Gertha French Rodgers*1. She was a graduate of Paris schools, and was a member of Paris Revival Chapel. Survivors include two sons, James Lee Ausmus and wife, Kathi, of Paris, and Steve Claud Ausmus of Beaumont; a daughter, Patricia Ann Ausmus, of Paris; a brother, John Edwards French*2; four sisters, Roberta McHam, Deanna Ann Miller*3, Linda Sue Tucker*4 and Gertrude Rodgers*5; ten grandchildren, James Clayton, Kathy Lea, James Lee II, Charles Lewis, Felicia Ann, Jacob Wayne, Sasha Dawn, Ticia Deanna, Angelia Mae, and Little John; and several great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------- CORRECTIONS: *1 - Leroy and Gertha French Rogers (incorrectly given here as Rodgers) *2 - John Edward French (incorrectly given here as John Edwards French) *3 - Deana Ann Miller (incorrectly given here as Deanna) *4 - Although listed as a survivor, Mildred was predeceased by Linda Sue Tucker on September 1, 1997. *5 - Although listed as a survivor, Mildred was predeceased by Gertrude Rogers Massengale (incorrectly given here as Gertrude Rodgers) on June 23, 1961.
