Amelia Catherine (Riley) Gentsch May 15, 1861 - Oct 9, 1941 PIONEER RESIDENT OF CORSICANA DIED THURSDAY MORNING Mrs. J. A. Gentsch, aged 80 years, died at the P. and S. Hospital shortly before noon Thursday. Funeral services will be held from the Sutherland-McCammon Chapel Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The rites will be conducted by Rev. Jack Goff, pastor of the Northside Baptist church. Mrs. Gentsch had resided in and near Corsicana since two years of age. Surviving are her husband, Corsicana; nine children, Mrs. J. B. Farmer, Malakoff; D. A. Gentsch, San Antonio; Mrs. Stewart Swearingen, Corsicana; Mrs. J. E. Jones, Farrar; Everett Gentsch, Corsicana; Luther Gentsch, Claunch, N. M.; Homer Gentsch, Gladewater; Mrs. Thelma Goodin, Flora, Ill., and Roy Gentsch, Corsicana; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, and other relatives. GENTSCH FRIDAY MORNING Funeral services for Mrs. J. S. Gentsch, aged 80 years, pioneer resident, who died at the P. and S. Hospital Thursday shortly before noon, were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Sutherland-McCammon Funeral chapel. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. M.; Homer Gentsch, Gladewater; Mrs. Thelma Goodin, Flora, Ill., and Roy Gentsch, Corsicana; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wesley Ford, Fred Thompson, Elmo Hollingsworth, Foster Litchfield, Charley Witson, E. L. Brown, Elbert Farmer, G. C. Goodin and Mr. McDaniel.
