Occupation: Farmer MO d/c 30927 FUNERAL OF HARVEY J. CUPP Death Came From Cancer—Burial Was in Cemetery at Hurdland. Funeral services for Harvey J. Cupp of near Hurdland, who died Tuesday of last week at his home, were conducted at 2:30 o'clock last Thursday afternoon at the Hurdland Baptist Church by his pastor, the Rev. W. A. Kleckner, of Hannibal. The Rev. R. T. Finnell of Hurdland, a life-long friend, assisted in the memorial service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Hurdland. Mr. Cupp was 65 years old, and he had been a resident of Knox County for fifty-eight years. He had been a sufferer of cancer for more than two years before his death. His widow and two children, Miss Lodema and Jay Gilbert Cupp, both at home survive. Besides these Mr. Cupp also leaves four brothers and two sisters: George V. Cupp of south of Edina; Noah S. Cupp, Cannie C. Cupp and Ulysses S. Cupp of Los Angeles; Lydia, now Mrs. Jacob Peeple, of Ridgeville, Mo., and Mrs. Bertha Willeford of Mt. Pleasant, Ia., who with the brother, George, were the only ones attending the funeral. One brother, Levi Cupp, preceded him in death. Harvey Joseph Cupp, a son of Solomon N. and Emma Cupp, was born May 11, 1853, near Dayton, Ohio. His parents brought his , when 7 years old, to a farm near Edina, where he grew to manhood. On March 4, 1896, he was married to Tisa A. Humphrey. They were the parents of three children, one daughter having died in infancy. Mr. Cupp united with the Hurdland Baptist Church in the fall of 1917, and was a deacon of that church at the time of his death. The Edina Sentinel, Edina, Missouri
