Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Sep. 23, 1971 Rites Set for Mrs. Kalinec Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. from the St. James Catholic Church for Mrs. Antone (Agnes) Kalinec who died in the Milan Nursing home in Beaumont at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. A brief service will precede the church rites 9:45 a.m. in the Seydler-Hill Chapel with an altar society rosary to be recited at 7:40 p.m. Monday, and a parish rosary following at 8 o'clock. Burial will be in the St. James Catholic cemetery with the Rev. Wendel Lieb, pastor, in charge of all the services. Mrs. Kalinec was born In Guadalupe County on February 27, 1892, the daughter of August and Margaret Pogorzelski Gatzke, natives of Germany. Her husband preceded her in death on October 24, 1964. A member of the St. James church and the Altar Society, she is survived by two sons, Johnnie Kalinec of Freer; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Julia Welborn of Vidor; five grandchildren; two great g; two sisters, Mrs. Anne Garvel of Gonzales and Mrs. Sophie Marrou of San Antonio; and one brother, Charlie Gatzke of Gonzales.
