US Army, out in 1937. Charles was a hard worker. He worked a number of jobs, hog farm in Hopland, CA., alfalfa fields in Rosamond, CA. In 1952 Charles and Dorothy was given an acre of land in Hidden Valley, Rosamond Ca. Provided they get a home on the land in a years time. So Charles arranged with Harvel House Movers in Rosamond CA., to go to Manzanar Japanese Internment Camp north of Lone Pine CA. Was given a half of a mess hall to tear down the whole mess hall and haul it to Rosamond CA. The half of a mess hall that Johnson was given was put on the land in Hidden Valley, Rosamond CA. And is still there today, July 2016. US Rubber Co. as a mechanic in Lancaster, CA. Charles and wife Dorothy managed the Ace of Club's Restaurant/Bar in Rosamond CA. Leased Texaco/76 Union Gas Station and Garage in Rosamond CA. Rosamond School Dist as mechanic/bus driver. Kelly Moyer Trucking in Lancaster, CA. Sweetser Mine in Hidden Valley, Rosamond CA. Hauled hay for various farmers in Rosamond CA. Mayflower Moving & Storage, Indianapolis. Greyhound Van Lines. Retired mid 70's Road motorcycles for many years. Visited and lived with his children and at the time of his death was living with daughter Anita.
