Services for Addie Forrest, 90, of Lufkin, were held Sunday, April 11, 2004 in the Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Forrest was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Huntington, Texas, the daughter of Ophelia (Hudiburg) and Lee Johnson. She died Friday, April 9, 2004 in a Lufkin hospital. She was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a former sales clerk. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and had resided in Lufkin most of her life. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Louise Forrest of Lufkin Daughters, -Nell Shoemaker of Hemphill, Texas, -Doris Jean Phillips of Lufkin Daughter and son-in-law, Joann and James F. Ray of Palestine; Eight grandchildren, Jan Kupec, Gary Forrest, Mike Forrest, Billy Forrest, Stephen Forrest, Lisa Rumph, Renee Hinz and regina Phillips; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
