Services for Richard C. "Dick" Forrest, Sr., 84, of Lufkin, were held Saturday, Nov. 19, 1994 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Forrest was born June 27, 1919 in Huntington, Texas and died Friday, Nov. 18, 1994 in a Nacogdoches hospital. He was a retired foreman for Champion Papermill with 34 years of service. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He had resided in Angelina County all his life. Survivors: Wife, Addie Forrest of Lufkin; Daughter and son-in-law, Nell and Hardy Shoemaker of Houston; Daughter, Doris Jean Phillips of Lufkin; Daughter and son-in-law, Joann and James Ray of Palestine, Texas; Son and daughter-in-law, Richard C., Jr. and Louise Forrest of Lufkin; Eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; Sister, Leona Johnson of Lufkin; Sister-in-law, Evelyn Forrest of Lufkin; Numerous nieces and nephews.
