Services for Leona Forrest Johnson, 86, of Lufkin, were held in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Huntington Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born June 13, 1914, in Huntington, Texas and she died May 25, 2001 in a Lufkin hospital. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Angelina County. She was a homemaker and a member of Herty Baptist Church. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Carolyn Johnson of Lufkin Grandchildren, David Johnsona and Kim Malnar, both of Lufkin Great-grandchildren: Jennifer Malnar, Megan Malnar, Kodye Linton, Josh Linton and Autum Johnson Sisters-in-law, Mr. R. C. Forrest and Evelyn Forrest, both of Lufkin Numerous nieces and nephews. Preeded in death: Husband, J. T. Johnson Gipson Funeral Home, directors
