Mildred Norma (Mills) Wendland passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Johns Community Hospital. She was born January 12, 1920 in Pflugerville, Texas and spent her childhood in the Pflugerville area. She married Charlie Wendland on November 21, 1937 at Pflugerville Immanuel Lutheran Church - a union that lasted 72 years. They were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor. Mildred and Charlie lived in the Hutto area near the small community of Monodale most of their lives, moving to Taylor in 2004. To that union three children were born: Juneva , Donald and Morgan. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents August and Helen (Wieuruscheske) Mills, her beloved husband, Charlie, brothers Conway and August Mills, Jr. , son, Donald Wendland and grand-daughter, Ronna Lea Randig. S he is survived by her daughter, Juneva Randig and husband Kenneth, son Morgan Wendland and wife Teresa and daughter-in-law Susan Wendland. Also, grand-children Retta Lyn Hill and husband Joe, Robert Lane Randig and wife Lori, Rex Wendland, Sheri Wendland, Teri Adams and Ran Wendland. Great-grandchildren are Joseph Hill, Michael Hill, Peyton Randig, Parker Randig, Sol Adams-Clement and Francesca Adams-Clement. Pallbearers will be grandsons Robert Randig, Rex Wendland, Ran Wendland and Joe Hill. Also nephews, Jack Mills, Dan Mills, Marcus Pelham and brother-in-law Joe Shuffield. Special music by nephew, Joseph Shuffield on the violin. Visitation will be Monday evening, May 2nd, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor, Tx. Funeral services will be at Condra Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. The burial to be at Immanuel Lutheran West Taylor. Condra Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
