Florence Janda, 92, of Lincoln, died Saturday, April 30,2011. Florence was born April 7, 1919, in Loup City to John and Agnes Josephine (Czaplewski) Pelanowski. Survivors are: children (spouses), Robert (Margaret) Janda of Omaha, Marge (Richard) Ritz of Ashton, Ken Janda of Denver, Richard (Kathy) Janda of Lincoln; a sister, Nell Carroll of O'Neill; and a brother (spouse), Raymond (Neva) Pelanowski of Fremont; grandchildren, Christy Lopez, David Janda, Marie Covi, Jaci Jasnoch, Jon Jasnoch, Lisa Near, Ann Janda and Corey Janda; great-grandchildren, Danielle Lopez, Thomas Janda, Joseph, Neva and Anna Covi, Kinsey, Kylie, Dru and Hallie Jasnoch, Cody and Caley Van de Stouwe; great-great-grandson, Dylan Van de Stouwe; step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Opal Pelanowski of West Monroe, La.; and a host of relatives and friends. Florence enjoyed quilting, baking, traveling and gardening flowers. Florence was a member of the Lincoln Square Dance Club, Red Hat Society, Knife & Fork Club and the VFW Auxiliary, all of Lincoln. She was also a former secretary for the Chamber of Commerce in Ord. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joyce Janda; granddaughter, Jenny Janda; brother, Ed Pelanowski; and sister, Mary Norman.
