Bio

Mrs. Harry Tannehill , 86, died Saturday at Madison. She was born in Fairview precinct near Enola. She was survived by 1 son Earl of Long Beach; 2 daughters: Mrs. Bernice McGinnis, south of Norfolk; Mrs. Ruth Allgood of Kimball, several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Lawrence several years ago, her husband in 1949. The funeral was held Monday. Source: extracted from "The Norfolk Daily News", Saturday, April 11, 1964 on page 15. Note that the year of death for her husband was reported to be 1949 but it was in December 1948 as found in the newspaper and also shown on his marker.
