James Pennartz, age 73, of Wichita Falls, Texas died Monday, April 27, 1998, in a local hospital. A rosary was held April 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst, Texas. Funeral Mass was Thursday, April 30, 1998 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst, with Rev. Ivor Koch, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, Texas officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home in Archer City, Texas. Mr. Pennartz was born July 18, 1924, in Windthorst, Texas. He and Lydia Essler Keyes were married April 8, 1989 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He had been a dairy farmer through-out his entire life in Windthorst, Texas. He had also been employed as a truck driver for Associated Milk Producers, Inc. and as a roughneck in the oilfield. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a honorary life member of the Father Albert General Assembly of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in Windthorst, Texas. Survivors include: his wife, Lydia of Wichita Falls, Texas; one son, Phillip Pennartz of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Charlene Diaz of Tyler, Texas and Bonnie Pennartz of Washington, D. C.; two brothers, Bill Pennartz of Wichita Falls, and Henry Pennartz of Windthorst; six sisters, Sister Eleanor Pennartz and Sister Mary Claude Pennartz, both of San Antonio, Texas, Nell Wilde of Riverside, California, Marie Koetter of Windthorst, Teresa Schroeder of windthorst and Helen O'Neil of Freeport, Florida.
