Mrs. Velzoe Byerly, 57, funeral will be held Thursday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery She died Monday in Norfolk. She was born Aug. 8, 1880 at Pilger to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Beswick. She lived most of her life in the vicinity of Norfolk. She was married 34 years ago this fall to Mr. Byerly at Pierce. She had been an invalid for the past 7 years. She was survived by her husband, 1 daughter Betty age 16; 3 sisters: Mrs. Cora Baumann at Norfolk, Mrs. Alta McIntosh and Mrs. Roy Brown both at Omaha. Rusk and Winifred "Winnie" (Loving) Rusk Fouke Kanouse. Velzoe was adopted and raised by William Beswick and Eliza (Miller) Beswick. Velzoe married Fred Byerly on November 26, 1903 in Pierce County, Nebraska.
