Bio Courtesy Jan Plambeck (#46975511) Lucy Britton Mrs Lucy Britton was born April 8, 1888 at Guide Rock to Mr. and Mrs. John and Lizzie Karnatz Schultz. She passed away Saturday in a Grand Island Hospital. On November 11, 1909, she married George Britton of Red Cloud, Nebraska and the couple lived at Guide Rock for several years. In 1918, George and Lucy moved to Ravenna. They have lived in Ravenna since that time. Survivors include four sons, Glenn and Don both of Spearfish, South Dakota; Harold of Broken Bow and Clair of Ravenna; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs Emma Frey of Denver, Colorado, and a host of other friends and relatives. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, George, just two weeks ago, four sisters, four brothers and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 18 at the Love and Rohde Mortuary in Ravenna at 2 p.m. Rev Michael McMurtry officiated. Burial was in the Highland Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Lawrence Czaplewski, Robert Irwin, James Krichau, Rudy Okrina, Ray Ridenour and Darrell Roberts.
