Bio

Lynn "Pud'n" Garrett, age 63, of Austin, passed away Friday, February 5, 1993. After graduating from St. Joseph's Nursing School in Houston, she went on to serve 37 years as a registered nurse in Houston and in Austin, eventually retiring as director of the Medical Clinic at Travis State School. She was guided by her faith. Preserved by her willpower. Strengthened by her love. Survivors include two sons; sisters Geraldine Laier of Austin and Loree Rost of Giddings; granddaughter. A rosary service will be held 7:30 PM, Sunday at Wilke-Amey-Clay Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, with Reverend Harold Zink, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Sam Houston Nat'l Cemetery in San Antonio at 2:00 PM.
