Wilbern Ashworth. 83. will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 14, in Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church. The Revs. T.F, Tenney, Wayne Pounders, M.C Green, Jeff Phillips and Ken Gibson will officiate Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery under direction of Beauregard Vernon Funeral Home. Visitation is from 1-10 p m today in the funeral home and from 10 a m Wednesday in the church Rev Ashworth died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan 11, 1998, in his residence. A native of Merryville, he began his ministry in 1941 and served as an evangelist until the fall of 1947 He founded Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church in 1947 where he pastored tor 44 years He served as a Presbyter of the La. District United Pentecostal Church for 34 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen Clark Ashworth, one son, Donnis Ashworth of DeRidder, two daughters, Gwen Harper and Marilyn Day, both of DeRidder and four grandchildren
