Rachel Jane Skaggs,was part Cherokee Indian, she was the daughter of Thomas Thompson and Rachel(Matthews)Skaggs.Her fore fathers were of the Longhunters Skaggs Clan. She was preceded in death by her husband Corpl.Harrison Grissom, which was also part Indian. He ,was A Corpal in Co. K. 13 Regiment in Battle of The Clouds,he was A Union Soldier. She is survived by several children. She is burried on family farm, beside her husband.,in A fence row with cedar trees, off hwy.1243 on Henry Watson Rd.,Knob Lick Ky.
