Bio

Moses who had attended KMI, drowned after a steamboat accident on the lower Red River. His father Travis G. Broocks brought his body back to San Augustione for burial. Siblings were; John H. Broocks b. 1829 Lycurgus W. Broocks b.1843 James A. Broocks b.1835 Kenneth L. Broocks b. 1845 Elizabeth H. Broocks(Border) b. 1846 Broocks name came to command respect, and the families made many substantial contributions to the business and social life of San Augustine, and elsewhere.
