In the 1850 Census, David and Mary Newman were living in Malta, Morgan Co, OH. They had the following children living with them: 1. Sarah Newman 23 years old 2. Mary A. Newman 22 years old 3. Eliza J. Newman 20 years old 4. Jacob Newman 14 years old 5. Nancy Newman 12 years old 6. Elizabeth Newman 10 years old 7. David Newman 7 years old 8. John Newman 5 years old 9. Amy Newman 3 years old 10. Beulah Newman 7 months old Added: 3-29-2019: "... The parents of Elizabeth (Newman) Johnson, David and Mary (Petitt) Newman, were natives of New Jersey. David Newman was born about the year 1800 and Elizabeth about 1805. The removed to Morgan county, Ohio, soon after their marriage, located on a farm and erected a house. They continued to reside there during the remainder of their lives. David Newman died at the age of eighty-eight years, and his wife at the age of seventynine.
