Hillsboro Reporter HETTIE WALLACE Hettie Wallace, 89, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, May 28, at a local hospital. She was born April 8, 1913 in the Yates community, daughter of James Samuel Cornelius and Stella Mae Richardson Keeton, where she was raised. She had been a long-time resident of Hillsboro. She was a waitress at Kai Kai Café and Circle T and a member of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. She married G. E. (Buster) Wallace in 1952, and he preceded her in death August 26, 1981. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jess Keeton, Virgil Keeton and T. V. Keeton; and three sisters, Virgie Keeton, Eva Nixon and Mattie Robertson. Survivors include: one brother, Johnnie Keeton and wife, Daisey, of Dallas; one sister, Georgie Mitchell and husband, Roy, of Hillsboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Kenneth James officiating.
