The Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, February 1, 2007 GEORGIA MITCHELL Mrs. Georgia Inez Mitchell, 91, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born February 28, 1915, in Peoria, daughter of the late James Cornelius and Stella Mae Richardson Keeton. She grew up and attended school in the Yates community, spending most of her young life helping her parents operate their family farm and dairy. She married Roy Mitchell October 1, 1936, and he preceded her in death March 4, 2003. They were in the farming business, and she also worked several years as a caregiver at the former Grant-Buie Hospital in Hillsboro. She enjoyed crafts, playing the piano and organ and cooking for neighbors. She was a loving, caring and giving person, who tried to provide for everyone's wishes and was always laughing and smiling. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ of Hillsboro. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Mitchell; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include: one brother, Johnnie Keeton and wife, Daisy, of Dallas; one daughter, Nelda Wood and husband, Tommie Ray, of DeSoto; four grandchildren, Dianna Ward and husband, Elvis, of Cleburne, Tracie Logan and husband, Patrick, of Mansfield, Cory Mitchell and wife, Renae, of Stephenville and Tricia Rushing and husband, Greg, of Red Oak; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and friends. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro with Dean Kilmer officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
