Daughter of Samuel W. & Martha J. Snyder; W/O 1 Warnel Tracy Davis, 2 Fred S. Cogger, 3 Orville C Firth. Sister of Delsie A. Cogger (FAG 99320366). Although her name is spelled "Ferth" on her gravestone, "Firth" is correct. ---------- Florence Elizabeth Firth was born August 31, 1889, at Stockton, Nebraska, and departed this life December 15, 1930, at Stratton, Nebraska, at the age of 41 years, 3 months and 15 days. Her entire life was spent in Nebraska. She grew to womanhood at Trumball and Cairo. Five years ago she moved with her family to Stratton, Nebraska. She was married December 22, 1923, to Orvil C. Firth at Central City, Nebraska. Mrs. Firth has long been in poor health. Her going brings peace to a body which has more than its share of suffering. She united with the baptist church at Paxton and later united with the Methodist church at Stratton. She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, four children, Mrs. Violet Mason of Lincoln, Chester L., Glenn G., and Frances M., of Stratton, her father, Samuel Snyder, of Haxtun, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Delsie Cogger, of Denver, Colo., besides many relatives and friends. Her death takes a loving and kind wife and mother, a kind neighbor and friend. Jesus while our hearts are bleeding, Over the spots that death has won, We would at this solemn meeting, Calmly say, "Thy Will Be Done." Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, from the Community M. E. church, Rev. R. A. Moore officiating and interment made at Rose Hill cemetery. To the bereaved ones the News extends condolence. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their help and sympathy during the sickness and death of our loved one.
