Bio

Carlene Jaynes, 72, of Valley Mills, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church with interment in the Valley Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Foss Funeral Home. Carlene was born in Valley Mills, Texas, to the late Carl and L.Z. (Cole) Jaynes, and was a 1956 graduate of Valley Mills High School. Carlene worked for Jayne's Department Store which was owned by her parents and later worked for the Federal Government until she retired. She was a faithful member of the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Nancy Hudson and husband, Richard, of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Doug Jaynes and wife, Kathy, of Skillman, N.J., and Maurice Jaynes and wife, Gail, of Plano; and several nieces and nephews.
