Per the 1940 US Census the Anderson family resided on Bevil Ranch Road in Hardin Texas. The head of household was Thomas J. age 37 born in Mississippi, his wife Irene age 30 born in Texas, his son Lehman J. age 13, his son Gilbert A. age 12, his son Thomas E. age 9, his son Jesse D. age 7, his son Albert M. age 4, his son Leroy age 1, and his daughter Barbara M. age 3/12. All of their children were born in Texas.
