Obituary for Pearle Keener Gawthrop. Mountain Statesman. Grafton, WV. Mon., Jan. 23, 1978. Excerpt--Mrs. Pearle R. Keener Gawthrop, 91, of Pruntytown, died Jan. 21, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born in Taylor Co. on Feb. 26, 1886, a daughter of the late John A. and Maggie R. Keener. She is survived by two children; John Earl Gawthrop of Pruntytown and Margaret Virginia Gawthrop at home; 3 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Gawthrop; two sons, Frank E. Gawthrop and Paul Ray Gawthrop; two brothers, Roy S. Keener and J. Ray Keener; one sister, Bessie Davis. She was a Nationwide Insurance Agent for 35 years. Interment was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery.
