Big Timber Pioneer, September 29, 1955 Mrs. Louise Zeleny, well known former Big Timber resident died at her home in Fresno, Calif., Monday, following a stroke suffered three days previously. Mrs. Zeleny, who left big Timber a year ago to make her home in Fresno, had suffered a stroke last February and had been partially paralyzed since. All five children are expected to be here for the services, as well as a sister who had been living with her in Fresco. Mrs. Zeleny was born in Germany where she received her education and spent her early life. She came to the United States at the age of 17, settling in Nebraska, After her marriage to Anton Zeleny, she resided in Sheridan, Wyo., for a number of years. Mr. Zeleny operating a butcher shop there. The family moved to Lodge Grass in 1926, and to Big Timber in 1930. Mr. Zeleny operated a meat market here for many years before his retirement and subsequent death in 1949. Survivors include four sons, Elvin and Howard Zeleny of Fresco, Arthur Zeleny of Phoenix, Ariz, and George Zeleny of Cody, Wyo.; a daughter, Mrs. Horace Haaas of Livingston; several brothers and sisters, and seven grandchildren.
