Mary Schowalter Kemper Nov 16,1885-Jan 15,1984 MRS. MARY KEMPER Last rites were conducted Friday, Jan. 20 at the Shultz-Vogel Mortuary in Stanton for Mrs. Mary Kemper, 96, of San Antonio, Tex. (formerly of Stanton) The Rev Albert Neufeld officiated, with burial in the Stanton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glen and Colby Meyer, Roger Schwartz, Emil Gemelke, Robert Breugman and Glen Kemper. Mary Schwalter [Showalter] Kemper was born in Daubling Germany, Nov 16, 1885. She died at San Antonio, Tex. Jan 15 at the age of 98. She came to America with her parents July 4, 1899. She was married to Edward D. Kemper on May 3, 1905. The couple had three sons, Bernhard, Herman and Ivan. Edward Kemper died Mar. 18, 1946. On July 1, 1947 she was married to Henry C. Kemper He died Nov 29, 1948. Survivors include one son, Ivan, of San Antonio Texas, five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, plus a number of nieces and nephews.
