Information submitted from Contributor Tim Osborne (47817994) and taken from Herald Chronicle, Winchester, TN. Alton E. Branch, age 81, of the Lexie Crossroads Community in Belvidere, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2007 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, after an extended illness. Mr. Branch was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge #158, where he was a past Worshipful Master. Mr. Branch was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #196 and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was retired from General Motors in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Annie Patterson Branch and brothers: Cecil, Paul, J.C, and Claude Branch. Mr. Branch is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Branch, daughter Elizabeth and husband Harry Dixon; granddaughters Heather and Brittany Pierce, all of Belvidere, brother Wayne Branch of Nashville; and sisters Freda Limbaugh and Christine Dahl, both of Winchester. Services for Mr. Branch were conducted Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Estill Springs Church of the Nazarene with Eastern Star Ceremony Interment followed in the Lexie Crossroads Cemetery with Masonic Services and Military Honors. Grant Funeral Services, 600 S. Main St., Estill Springs, 649-3585, in charge of arrangements.
