Services for Eloise Frances Saxton, 75, were held Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 at the Chapel of the Last Supper in the Garden of Memories memorial Park with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Saxton, a long-time resident of the Houston area, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999. She was born on March 27, 1924, in Lufkin to the late Jim and Pearl Rudd. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandsons were one of her greatest joys. She retired from Kroger after more than 20 years of employment. Eloise was an avid Houston Rockets fan. She loved the beach and spent many hours flounder-fishing at Seawolf Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie and a sister, Elaine Redd. Survivors: daughters, (Jonn) Ann Saxton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Deb Whalen of Houston; son-in-law, Kelly Walen of Houston; grandsons, David and Aaron Oubre, both of Oklahoma City, W. J. and Kelly Whalen II, both of Houston; sisters, Pat Saxton and Ann O'Quinn; and brother, James Rudd. In addition, Eloise leaves to mourn her passing many inlaws, nieces, nephews and friends.
