Bio

Frieda was born August 26, 1911, in rural Ulysses, Nebraska to Bernard "Bert" and Martha(Fricke) Daro. She attended country school near Ulysses, walking two miles to and from school each day. On November 18, 1931, Frieda married John Meister at St. Francis Catholic Church, Center. They farmed near Garrison and John died June 12, 1941. Frieda raised her family alone. On August 30, 1958, she married Floyd Kindler, again at St. Francis Catholic Church. She was the oldest living member and longest member of the St. Francis Parish. Frieda is survived by four sons;George(Brenda) Meister, Houston, Texas, Leo(Patricia) Meister, David City, Jerome(Mary Lou) Meister, Brainard and Michael(Jenny) Kindler, David City, a sister, Mabel Huisenga of David City, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John Meister and Floyd Kindler, daughter, Dorothy Wilson, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
