Bio taken from book: "History Of Texas World War Heroes" Cpl. Ralph L. Lair, son of Mrs. Marietta Lair, of Anna, volunteered August 20, 1917, and was placed in the 480th Aero Squadron, which trained at Kelly Field, San Antonio. Went over with that squadron, doing construction work in the aerial service while in France.
