Bio

Born in the Umpqua Valley; Daughter of Oregon pioneers who emigrated to Oregon by wagon train in 1843; author of "Following the Flag: Diary of a Soldier's Wife," published in 1909, about her life with her husband, Lt. Col. Herbert Sargent. Alice and Herbert were married in 1886 in Klamath County, Oregon
