Bio

He was the son of Thomas Benton and Liza McKinney Spurgin. He married Emma Edmonds in McKInney on July 27, 1938. Mr. Spurgin served in the United States Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a farmer and of Baptist faith. He is surved by his wife of McKinney, Texas; son Rick Spurgin and daughter Rita Walters both of McKinney; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
