Ernest E. Spurgin Passes Away At Home Route 2, McKinney Ernest E. Spurgin, 53, died at his home, Route 2, McKinney, late Monday afternoon. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Allen Christian Church, of which he was a member, conducted by Rev. Paul Russell. Interment was at Forest Grove, Turrentine-Jack-son Funeral Directors, in charge. He was born November 8, 1905, being a lifetime resident of Collin County. He married Miss Lela Mac Chappel in McKinney in 924. Survivors are his wife, son, Billy R. Spurgin of R-1, Allen; daughter, Mrs. V. R. Leach, McKinney; mother, Mrs. T. B. Spurgin of McKinney; three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Funderburgh of Frisco, Mrs. Charlie Matney of Me Kinney, Mrs. J. W. Eastham of Garland; seven brothers, B. B., Nelson, O. W., T.
