Bio

She was the daughter of Simon Douglas Beasley and Drusilla Ayres (spelled Ara on her marriage certificate) who married 26 March 1880 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was listed with her parents in 1900 in Tarrant County. She married Horace Mann in either December of 1903 or early 1904. Their license to marry was issued and listed in the 5 Dec 1903 Dallas Morning News. In 1910 Rebecca and Horace were living in Devol, Comanche County, Oklahoma where he was farming. They had three children: Sanford D, age five; George V, age three; and Rebecca V, age three. All born in Texas. Rebecca's sister Rena D. Beasley was with them. She was 17 and also born in Texas. Rebecca died from pneumonia following measles. The informant for her death certificate was Vace Mann or perhaps Nace Mann. It is hard to read. It might be a brother-in-law or a nephew of her husband.
