Bio
Dorothy Jean Henson, 75, of Florence, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at Spry-Williams chapel, with Brother Henry Melton officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Paul Cross, Neil Johnson, Nathan Williams, Todd Bogus, Justin Evans, Tim Chapman and Silas Keeton. Jean was an avid bowler and member of Kegler Bowling League and also was a devout lover of animals. She was preceded in death by her sister, Clara Gatlin; brothers, Clayton, Clyde, Leon, Jerry and Royce Chapman; father of her children, Willard Herrold Henson. Survivors include daughters, Marcia Henson and special friend, Nancy Wilson, Monica Cross and Lisa Williams; brother, Chester L. Chapman (Phyllis); grandchildren, Stephanie, Nathan, Audrey, Emily, Anna and Paul; great-grandchildren, Christina, Tyler, Molly, Sophia and Lincoln; special friend, Pat Helmick Bowling; numerous nieces and nephews.
