Ardmore — Marion Oscar Richards, age 79, passed away in his home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011, in The Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest with Pastor Billy Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Provence Cemetery, Carter County, Okla. Marion was born to Mr. Albert James Richards and Mrs. Mary Jane Royal Richards in Ardmore, Okla., on August 19, 1931. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Levada Smith; three brothers, Tommy, Eddie and James Albert Richards; and one granddaughter, April. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Marion was a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God. Marion is survived by his children, Jim Richards and wife, Teresa of Springdale, Ark., Phillip Richards of Ardmore, Okla., Sheila Terry and husband, Leroy of Pampa, Texas, Wallace Richards of Ardmore, Okla., Lynn (Tuck) Breitenstien, Ft. Towson, Okla., Paula Hudson of Sawyer, Okla., Freddie Lynn Richards and wife, Renee of Madill, Okla., and Debra Richards of Ft. Towson, Okla.; sisters, Mildred Jones and Opal Roberts, both of Madill, Okla., and Belva Toombs Indig of Plano, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. The family of Marion Richards will greet visitors from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2011, at Griffin-Hillcrest.
