Bio

Mary Mildred Jones, 89 of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late James Albert Richards, Sr. and Mary Jane Royal Richards. Mary was raised in Ardmore and in 1970 moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life. She married Curney W. Jones on June 6, 1942 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1998. Mildred was devoted to teaching Sunday school for many years; and working in the church, prayer meetings and singing. Her hobbies were sewing and working in her flower beds and yard. Mildred loved her children and she was always helping children and other families. She was a member of the Family Christian Center Church in Madill. She is survived by: Children: Mary L. Isbell and husband Darrell, Madill, Oklahoma Ruth Eakin and husband Buddy, Kingston, Oklahoma Pat. M. Bell and husband Jack, Madill, Oklahoma Eddie W. Jones and Debbie, Madill, Oklahoma David D. Jones and wife Helen, Kingston, Oklahoma Donald E. Jones, Madill, Oklahoma Sisters: Belva J. Indig, Plano, Texas Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters; Opal E. Roberts and Lavada (Davis) Smith and 4 brothers; Marion O., James A., Tommy and James Eddie Richards. Casket Bearers: Ken Keith, Jon Isbell, David Kendall, David Wade Jones, Ricky Posey, Eddie Dewayne Jones and Donnie Ray Jones.
