Bio
Pearl was born in Collin County Texas to Jay Hugh and Mollie Delia (Rodgers) Rouse. You can see her in the 1900 census in Collin Co and in the 1910 in Walker, Garvin County Oklahoma after her Father died. In 1920 & 1930 census, she and her husband John Thomas Saunders settled in Garvin County Oklahoma (Elmore City/Foster area) where they purchased land that J.T. farmed in the Table Top Mountains. Together, they had 6 children: Mary Irene, Fay Carl, Bonnie Berneice, Eula Audrey, John Alger, and Joe Thomas Saunders. When J.T. died in 1931, Pearl was pregnant with her youngest son. By 1940, she had remarried to Jodie Wauls and later they moved to his home in Davis, Oklahoma. After Jodie's death, Pearl then relocated to Moore, Oklahoma prior to her death in 1976. She is buried in Foster Cemetery, Oklahoma.
