Bio

Lillie Jones was the kindest lady I have ever known. Loving, gentle, and generous, she was center of a family who loved her fiercely. She loved to work in her garden and was frequently pictured in the Herald with some of her flowers. She belonged to the Planters Garden Club and was a charter member of the Missionary Society at the First Methodist Church. She also played cards with the Canasta Club and Rook Club. She loved to play cards, dominoes, and Yahtze with her grandchildren, even when they were grown. She also crocheted and quilted. In her later years, she was blind, but continued to socialize with her friends at Mountain View Nursing Home. Many of her beloved Susannah Wesley Class friends were also living there.
