Bio
Aunt Lois was the fun-loving half sister of my grandmother, Lillie McKeown Jones. Lois's mother was Rosa Lee Davis; their father was Tresvan Chapman McKeown. Although she didn't have children of her own, she was great with kids. I remember her rocking on her stomach in the middle of the floor. She was very hard of hearing and had devices in her home to help her hear the doorbell and the telephone. She wrote lots of letters to Nanny and to my aunt Myrtle Stoutenburg, which I have. They reveal a difficult life and a great sense of humor.
