Forest Eugene Taylor, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born on August 8, 1931, the third of four children to Aroet Franklin and Ella May Parry Tayor in Ruth, White Pine County, Nevada. The family relocated to Hinckley when Forrest was six years old. He attended Hinckley Elementary and Hinckley High School. Some of his fondest memories of those growing up years were the annual deer hunts with his dad, brothers and sisters. He enjoyed Rodeo, riding horses and exploring the West Desert. Forrest married Helen Jean Christensen on September 20, 1951. In 1952, when he knew he was soon to be drafted, he joined the United Sates Army and was stationed in Germany. Following an honorable discharge from the service, Forrest and Helen made their home in Hinckley, Utah where they were blessed with two wonderful children, son; Forrest Kim Taylor and daughter Sandra Jean Taylor. Although Forrest and Helen later divorced, they remained good friends. Forrest belonged to the Operating Engineers Union and worked several years at the Nevada Test Site before returning to Hinckley. He served as Deseret Irrigation Water Master and worked for the Millard County Road Department. He married Joyce McClellan Hedger on August 8, 1988. She preceded him in death on December 23, 1996. He survived by his son; Forrest Kim Taylor, Hinckley; and daughter; Sandra Jean Taylor (Parley Jr.) Call, Las Vegas, Nevada; 5 grandchildren; Parley (Katie) Call III, Las Vegas; Aubrey Call (Noah) Jenkins, Salt Lake City, Utah; Beau Taylor, Deseret; Yancy (Sadie) Taylor, Toole; Tess Taylor (Danny) Eyers, Delta; sisters, Beatrice Schena, Hinckley; Emma Lee Taylor, Salt Lake City; brothers; Darrell Taylor, Deseret; Floyd Taylor, St. George. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother; Reva Spendlove Taylor; and older brother; Parry Taylor. Frosty will always be remembered for his love and concern for his family and friends, his honesty and dependability. Graveside services were held on Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11 am, at the Hinckley City Cemetery. Friends called Friday evening at the Nickle Mortuary from 7-8 pm. Interment was in the Hinckley Cemetery. Transcribed from the Millard County Chronicle Progress by Monica Schafer
